Albion Stone, through the Stone Federation assist with the
revision of the British Standards that relate to stonework.
Michael Poultney is currently working as the convenor of the
redrafting of BS 8298. The company keeps abreast of the new
British and European Standards and has incorporated the
requirements of BS EN 12057, 12058 and 1469 into its
manufacturing system.
In order to deliver a high quality product and service we
recognise that we need to provide comprehensive training to
our employees. We have a programme of skill developments
that are identified in our Versatility Charts.

Portland stone is a natural material and is subject to a wide range of geological characteristics.
Albion recognises the importance of making the customer aware of all these subtle variations
before the final stone selection is made and to aid this process we have constructed large panels
of each of our stones. These panels are displayed at the Factory.

The questionnaires are sent out at random to customers, in 2009 we received 37 of these back, the results are shown in this chart.
